Stallard Australia Drivers Dominate Both A.c.t And Nsw Formula 500 Titles
Daniel Powell posted Wednesday April 29, 2009.

The term ‘Dominate’ is quite a common metaphor used in the world of Motorsport, but when you finish 1 – 2 – 3 in both the A.C.T and NSW Formula 500 Titles there is no better way to sum up the recent success of the Stallard Australia brand and its drivers.

So far in the 2008/09 season Stallard Australia drivers have taken out wins in the Australian Title, Victorian Title and South Australian Title amongst other winning and podium (Western Australian driver Steven Gay finished this year’s Australian Title in third place on the podium) results and now they can add 1 – 2 – 3 finishes in both the A.C.T Title at Goulburn Speedway and the NSW Title at Gilgandra Speedway.

Queensland teenager Brock Hallett continued his amazing 2008/09 season, which has seen him win the Australian Title and both the Victorian and South Australian Titles, by taking out a comfortable victory in the A.C.T Title in what was his first visit to the Goulburn Speedway track. Hallett was the quickest driver all night and was a thoroughly deserving winner and both Western Australian and former Australian Champion Ben Devlin and defending champion and Stallard Australia agent Steve Caunt ended up finishing in second and third place respectively on the podium and completed the ‘Trifecta’ for Stallard Australia.

The following weekend at Gilgandra Speedway in Western NSW the NSW Title and it resulted in Steve Caunt taking out the winning honours by defeating fellow Stallard Australia pilots Brock Hallett and Dale Sinclair in what was back-to-back ‘Trifecta’s’ for Stallard Australia. After losing his A.C.T Title to Hallett the weekend previous, Caunt was able to get one up over the ‘Teenage Sensation’. It was a fantastic third place result for the Victorian based Sinclair, as this was his first visit to NSW soil and also his first major event podium placing in Formula 500s. Sinclair this season has also picked up a number of feature race wins in rounds of the Victorian Stampede Series.

Last season’s running of the NSW Formula 500 Title up at Gunnedah Speedway in North Western NSW was cancelled due to a power blackout leading up to the NSW Title deciding feature race. The defending champion then was Sprintcar legend Max Dumesny and the former two times Australian Formula 500 Title holder was driving a Stallard out of the Caunt Motorsport stable when the event was held at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway in 2007. Dumesny’s cameo appearance in a Formula 500 was his first run in the class for over 20 years.

Stallard Australia agent Steve Caunt as one would expect has been thrilled with the performances of the brand and its drivers throughout the 2008/09 season.

“The Stallard brand has certainly been very well represented this season and it’s great to have so many talented drivers using the brand and being successful,” commented Caunt. “Success is one of the best advertising methods for promoting the Stallard brand and with the amount of success our drivers have enjoyed this season it is becoming quite clear that if you seriously want to compete with the best Formula 500 drivers then go out and purchase a Stallard.”
