Queensland Teenage Sensation, Brock Hallett has won an action packed 2009 Tatiara Truck & Trailers Australian Formula 500 Title at Tolmer Speedway, Bordertown last night Sunday 8th March.

Hallett started 3rd in the Final but made his way into the lead 10 laps into the 30 lap final. Steven Gay who started in 15th finished 3rd.

Ben McLeod shared the front row after the heats.

The Red lights come on on lap 6 when McLeod tried an inside pass on the leader for the lead coming out of turn 4 with the 2 making contact. McLeod coming off the worst for wear after riding out a nasty flip. After a little bit of concern McLeod exited the car under his own steam.

At the restart the leader lead Hallett with Gay rounding out the top 5.

Hallett inherited the lead.gay in 3rd position. Kristian Kelly rounded out the top 5.

Hallet crossed the line for the win with Gay capping off a great run by finishing 3rd.

At the presentations Hallett celebrated with his Family and friends and was over joy with the win. “This is the biggest win of my career and I just can’t thank my Mum and Dad enough for all they have done for me and my sponsors. and Stallard Australia Without them I wouldn’t be here”

Gay was wrapped with 3rd. “This car was awesome in the final. The boys set it up and I could just put it anywhere I wanted. Congratulations to Brock . Thanks to my Crew and Sponsors”
